Infrared Camera

Thermal imagers or infrared cameras are equipped with special spectral range for the imaging and temperature measurement of the glass surface are used for the final inspection and control.
Thereby the complete process can be checked and optimized.
Typical applications are the temperature measurement of the molten glass inside the furnace and at the exit as well as the temperature of the refractory on the roof and the side walls.
Also in flat glass production such cameras are used to measure in the tank, canal, tin bath and lehr area and of course the flat glass itself.
Correct temperature measurement assures correct process values and uniform glass structure. Tensions or cracks can be avoided.
Different technical glass and special glass demand very special requirements for technique and quality. Specially modified instruments are used for such applications.
