The MK5 version is the ultimate Hot Treatment Hood from Revimac and it’s designed to apply a tin oxide layer using a chemical vapor deposition process and to coat a wide range of glass containers at different production speeds. This treatment will increase mechanical resistance against crashes and resistance to pressure up to 20%.
Since previous generation the layout has been improved to guarantee the best homogeneity deposit of treatment, through a double vapor loops layout, and easier cleaning, obtained through component installation on quick change plate. Hot treatment hood, is made of a stainless steel structure with removable modules also in stainless steel and have to be positioned on the main conveyor, before the ware transfer.
Each module is equipped with deflector to adapt the flow, depending on container height and with a fan, driven by an electric motor. Every module will work together with the module on the other side of the conveyor, to generate an airflow loop. At this point vapor of chemical product, will be vehiculate to the glass container, thanks to the airflow loop.
Airflow speed and adaptation guarantee a perfect distribution of vaporized product on the whole container’s surface, even at high speed line. An outer air loop has a containing effect which basically aspire the airflow from the hood end and brings it back to the hood entrance. This loop is generated by a fan, also mounted on a quick change panel, to allow an easy cleaning.
Cleaning is easier thanks to the removable modules on each side, that permit to be dissembled from the main unit. This allows to do a cleaning in the workshop, away from the working area. Hot treatment hood are available in three different length (1000mm, 1500mm and 2000mm) depending on the speed of the line.
