Tiama IQ Scan – the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for Glass factories

The Tiama IQ Scan is a software solution that offers a different approach to a line supervision system by providing clear analysis of production and giving real time data on defects picked up by inspection equipment to all employees within the factory. Since it is web-based and mobile, the information can be accessed anywhere, anytime, resulting in improved efficiency.
By collecting data from the whole line – from IS machine to palletizers – Tiama IQ Scan gives all the necessary KPI’s and data in real time to show users where losses are occurring, and why. Tiama IQ Scan not only automatically helps improve the performance of the line it also: - reduces the false reject rate and adjustment of bad settings; - automatically increases the percentage of packed ware. Together with the mould number, most information can be passed to the hot end operator, allowing him to focus on a “faulty” section and cavity to speedily solve the problem.
The IQ Scan dashboard can be personalized allowing an easy access to information that are relevant to their role, anywhere, anytime. By supplying this valuable information across the entire plant, operations are greatly enhanced. Now a plant manager can focus on the key performance metrics of the whole plant for that day while the IS manager receives data of the defects or cavities relating to his IS machine over the last 30 minutes whilst not interfering with the quality manager, for example, who can monitor the quality records of his team without unnecessary information from other sections of the plant.
The Tiama IQ Scan records most of the operators’ actions: part changes, attributive controls at lehr exit, weightscale at hot end, sample challenge, etc. The system offers several options to answer all the needs of every section in the glass plant: downtime, part changes, sampling machine (on-line pressure, dimensional), mould repair, resorting and pallet management.
Tiama IQ Scan was developed in cooperation with the market expert opening the possibility to easily upgrade existing iAfis into a Tiama IQ Scan. Its web-based, modular platform answers all the quality control requirements in the forming, inspection, laboratory and mould departments.
