This training course covers all aspects of the glass container forming (from gob in the blank to container on the machine conveyor). Knowing which container part is formed at what stage during the process (BB, NNPB & PB) helps to better adjust the process parameters in order to prevent forming defects. Understanding the different forming processes and their uniqueness is vital when it comes to selecting the correct process for bottle or jar manufacturing. This course is about the different stages of each process (BB, NNPB & PB), and it covers the role of the heat exchange within glass forming. During the course the student will learn about the machine timing, which essentially is the sequence of all the different process events/stages. All active students will have access to the Glass Container - Forming Process Animation (desktop application) for one(1) calendar year. With this the students can refresh their knowledge about the different forming processes.
