Find information about your glass bottle or jar defects by searching the unique global collection of alternative defect names that came from different dialects over the last 100 years. This application provides information about defect description, detection, effect, cause, and prevention for over 100 different defects spitted into the BB, NNPB and PB forming processes. The web application is for user who want to have access from anywhere anytime via web browser to all the necessary information about glass container forming defects.
The desktop application is for glass specialists who want to have access to all the necessary information about glass container forming defects offline. With the desktop application the 3D interactive defect animation module can be used to see how forming defects are created.

Enter the gob weight and know what orifice ring size to use. With this web application the orifice ring size can be calculated by entering the weight and adjusting the gob diameter to length ratio. The filter option allows a quick comparison between different forming machine size (section number).
The Defect Elimination System (DES) is for glass bottle and jar producer to achieve zero-defect production without capital investment in new machine or equipment. This is the first global, web-based, self-learning glass defect elimination system allowing to detect, fix, and prevent forming defects; that can be accessed from anywhere anytime. The system can work as a standalone solution or as a module part of any existing ERP/MES systems.
This is a tool for mould designers who do not want to guess the parison run or read difficult graphs whilst trying to figure out what to do.
The correct parison run can be achieved by using this calculator, which was developed by glass experts using their combined more than 150 years of mould design experience.
Simulate and show in a class room how a gob is made - don’t stop the production process to train people. Watch the transformation of the glass stream into a gob in the virtual 3D environment.
Demonstrate different gob shapes, by adjusting the virtual parameters such as: Plunger Stroke, Plunger Differential, Plunger Height, Shear Height, Tube Height, and Machine Speed. Visualize the influence of all those adjustments on the gob shape.
What are the glass container forming processes? This 3D interactive animation shows in detail each of the forming processes – the user can look inside the glass and mould; watching and interacting with the process when the gob is formed into a glass bottle or jar.
All three forming processes: Blow & Blow(BB), Press & Blow(PB) or Narrow Neck Press & Blow(NNPB) are explained.
The Application requires you to select one of the plans
This digital solution is the ‘production consultant’ for the operator that is always available. There is no more need to invite specialists from outside the plant to fix forming defects – even newly hired and untrained people can fix defects by using this system.
The Defect Elimination System (DES) is fully packed with all what is necessary to understand, fix and eliminate forming defects. Simply install the desktop application on a computer near the forming machine to give the operator access to all the information within the ‘Digital Storage Facility’ (Control Center).
To manage the content within the system via the web access assign a system administrator – with this a close looped system is created between production floor, production specialist and engineering office.
By using the ‘Track and Control’ feature the ‘Fix it’ step usage is monitored around the clock per production line, shift and product.
