Automatic Statistical Dimensional measurements of hot bottles
The Tiama HOT lab is a laboratory system providing quick, accurate, non-contact dimensional measurements at the hot end.
The unique design of the Tiama HOT lab ensures it provides accurate measurement solutions for the industry’s wide range of glass container designs including non-round shapes.
The Tiama HOT lab provides laboratory measurements such as height, diameter, all finish tilt, verticality, bent neck, internal bore profile, tuck-under angle (D-angle).
It can also provide 2D colour charts displaying the flatness of the labelling area (sunk and bulge) and the vertical glass thickness/distribution.
In order to save time for operators, a robot arm can also be installed on the machine so that measurements can be carried out automatically.
During production, the Tiama HOT lab enables laboratory measurements at the hot end, saves time and performs production efficiency during job change. These measurements allow to identify issues on the current production and to solve problems before the operators receive the cold end feedback.
The machine collects measurement data from all samples and performs automatic and protected reports. Thanks to data, the communication between the Hot and Cold End is improved with a positive impact on internal process quality.
